The Mediopadana station
The Mediopadana station
This is the only station on the Milan-Bologna high velocity train line and, thanks to its vicinity to the A1 Autostrada del Sole (the main north-south toll way), it will serve the whole area of central Emilia.
The design of the station is quite futuristic and suggests the movement of sails. In fact, the whole project is known by the nickname of "Calatrava's Sails". The high velocity station will make it possible to travel from Reggio Emilia to Milan and Rome in 40 minutes in 2 hours and 30 minutes. |
